Q: What is the best way to clean my ceramic pipe?
A: Our ceramic pipes are incredibly easy to clean! The best way to clean a ceramic pipe, is to first fill a small pan (an old bread pan will do well!) with boiling water. Submerge the pipe, and allow it to sit in the water until it's cool to the touch. Then, simply run a pipe cleaner through the pipe, rinse with water and you have a clean pipe!
-If you a while without cleaning your ceramic pipe and there is a lot of build up, you may need to repeat the steps to clean completely.
-NO NEED for any chemicals or alcohol! Enjoy a clean smoke!
--We have been asked many times if pipes, like ceramic dishware, can be run through the dishwasher. We cannot verify if it's possible, and can not guarantee that any build up might transfer to other dishes. Not recommended!
Q: My ceramic pipe has small pin holes on the underside-is it chipped or broken?
A: When ceramics are fully glazed and fired, they require stilts to keep the glaze from fusing the item to the kiln shelf. Every stilted item will result with the three pin marks.
The pin marks are very sharp when the stilt is removed, so I then grind all marks down until no longer sharp!
